Unique Sushi Rolls Poster

Several years ago, before I even lived in NYC, I was down visiting my brother who was in town for a conference. We got into our usual shenanigans, ran around the city, taught some foreigners how to play beer pong, paid a bartender make drinks with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and we ate at Bond Street Sushi (which later became one of my favorite restaurants).

When the server brought us our heaping plates of sushi, I noticed something strange…The rolls were oriented vertically on the plate, so all of the plates together reminded me of the thriving metropolis that we were in! Naturally, I immediately broke out in song

“WE BUILT THIS CITY ON SUSHIIIIIIII ROLLLLLSSSSSSSS”

It stuck. I can no longer listen to Starship without singing my adopted version of the lyrics…And finally, just a few weeks ago, I made it into a poster so it can continue to get stuck in others’ heads. You’re welcome.

I sent one to my brother. He proudly hangs it in his tiny, Vancouver apartment!
