Classic Patterned Wedding Invitation Suite

I met Kellianne and her mother in Charleston during one of my Wined & Designed Trunk Shows, and I can arguably say, they are the sweetest family I think I have every worked with. They exude that true Southern Charm that I love so much. Also, as many Southerners do, Kellianne seemed to know exactly how she wanted her wedding invitations to reflect her & Peter’s personalities. She told me the color palette and that they loved pattern (this one reflects the pattern found on their table runners) and I was off to the races.

Here are the results, and I think they’re gorgeous! Congratulations again, Kellianne & Peter!!

Bermuda Illustrative Wedding Invitations

Alaina & Jason came to me through a friend’s recommendation and were keen on producing very similar wedding invitations to these. While I was thrilled that they loved my other work enough to want to copy, I also wanted to make sure that they had something uniquely theirs. I used the same illustration style to create the Tom Moore’s Tavern illustration on the front, but incorporated different ‘Bermuda’ type of elements, like the shell pattern on the double sided inserts.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! And thank you for letting me be a part of your day!

Atlantic Beach Vintage Style Poster: “Downtown”

Well, I’ve finally done it. I managed to finish the series of 3 vintage style posters commissioned by my best client…my father (he is biologically not ALLOWED to say he doesn’t like something!) So, thank you, Pops, for being so unbelievably patient with me while I completed other work. And, of course, thank you, for giving me such a great subject and fun project to work on! I love the result of these posters and am happy to add them to my growing collection of vintage inspired posters.

All posters will soon be available on the RadWorks BlogShop! Stay Tuned!

Vintage Wedding Poster :: La Jolla, California

A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my friend, Jess, who also happens to be a terrific little sister. She commissioned this poster for her big brother and now sister-in-law, so they would have a special reminder of their wedding day!

Jess requested specific elements that were important to the couple, like the orange bow tie that hangs over the bike (what the groomsmen wore) and the old bicycle (an inside joke between the couple). The white hydrangea flowers and the street light were actually present in the reception and were added in the second rendition of the poster to make it more authentic to their wedding.

Unique Folding Aquarium Brochure

Okay, so it’s not exactly a brochure, it’s a Strategic Plan…whatever that actually means, I clearly have never written one. I created this baby back in January and have been waiting to post it until it went to press (typical case of client needs project turn around in a week), and it has still not been printed. SO, I have waited 6 months, I think that is ample time to share it, as I am very proud.

The original brief had this as a tri-fold on an 11″ x 17″ piece of paper, but that just wasn’t going to cut it. As the “most important piece of literature” that the organization was to produce in the next 5 years, I felt that it needed to be more special, more engaging and all around, more memorable. The completed Strategic Plan tells the organization’s story with every unfolding and eventually reveals a poster highlighting the main points of the plan. Have a look at the results!

Camouflage Blind Letterpressed Memorial Invitations

There is not much I can say about this piece other than, I absolutely did not want to be creating it…BUT, I am tremendously honored that Wined & Designed was asked. A year ago, almost to the day, one of my best friends lost her new husband in a helicopter crash during a routine Naval operation somewhere over Oman. Absolutely devastating.

However, I can’t begin to describe the outpour of love that I have witnessed since that day for this amazing man. It is always so incredible to learn how many lives one person can touch and how outlooks on life can change after something like this happens. So, as a reminder, keep on living…JP would want you to…

JP’s memorial was held in Louisiana at The Wetlands. His favorite color is reflected in the letterpress design, as well as the environment of The Wetlands with the camouflage blind letterpress details shown in the background of the paper. The design on the first panel is inspired by one of JP’s tattoos. The invitation is split into 3 sections and perforated so individual pieces could be removed and transported as needed. A HUGE ‘thank you’ to Cucumber Press Studios for the brilliant letterpress work for a very special friend of mine.

Indian Inspired Chicago Mehndi Engagement Invitations

What do I love more than an open bar at a good wedding? Great wedding invitations!! And with Wined & Designed, I do A LOT. Kavan & Neesha were so trusting and wonderful to give me free reign of what their engagement invitations would look like. As a result: these Mehndi detailed invites with firework details in the shape of Chicago landmarks (landmarks meaningful to the couple, of course).
